If you think apples are the most boring of fruits,well..you're not alone!
For years I avoided them thinking they don't have much of a taste and they're not as exotic as other fruits.Recently I found out that apples are actually very versatile,have infinite health benefits (rich in antioxidants,fiber,reduce risk of heart disease,cancer,diabetes..) and can be quite flavorful.
This recipe can be used for afternoon snacks,breakfast pastries..It's very versatile just like the apples!
You will need :
Gluten Free Pie Crust
3 Large Pink Lady Apples
2 tbls Cinnamon
2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.Mix cinnamon and vanilla extract and let it sit for a couple of minutes.Pre heat the oven to 350.
Make the gluten free dough and roll it into a ball.With the help of a rolling pin, spread the dough until is about 1/3 inch thick.
Cut small triangles and place a few apple pieces on top.Close the triangle and place it on a baking sheet.Repeat until you run out of dough.
Bake for 10 -12 minutes.Let it cool for a few minutes and serve.
